About Lucas

From Brazil to the
beaches of Thailand

Lucas Miguez began his journey in 2015 at Creative Jiu-Jitsu in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro. After years of dedicated training and competition across Brazil under Victor Miguez, he relocated to Koh Samui in May 2022.

In January 2026, he reached the pinnacle of the art — earning his Black Belt from Hyago Medeiros. Having coached hundreds of students, from travelling tourists to competitive athletes, Lucas has built one of the most trusted private BJJ programmes in Thailand, combining authentic Brazilian roots with world-class technical instruction.
